BioActive Supply was founded by a former senior herp/invert Zookeeper with nearly two decades' worth of professional experience keeping and caring for reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. Using the knowledge accumulated throughout the years, BioActive Supply's mission is to make BioActive or zoo-like keeping simple, successful, and accessible for everyone. Every product we create is built using foundations from real ecology, practical husbandry, and education.

​Our signature BioActive Substrates are both ours and your enclosures' foundation! Our substrates are hand-blended in small batches using between 11 and 17 carefully selected natural ingredients; These ingredients are all selected to mimic your animals' native range in addition to supporting beneficial microorganisms, plant life, clean-up crews, moisture balance, and natural animal behaviors.

What makes our substrates stand out in the keeping world is just how easy it is to use them! There's no extra guesswork or additives; each of our substrates is complete and ready to pour and build.​
