The Lemon Button Fern has a lot of names. Some of them are little-leaved sword fern, fishbone fern, and erect sword fern. It gets its most Common moniker, Lemon Button Fern, from the slight lemon scent it leaves give off.

This is a hardy fern that can tolerate damage from animals in an enclosure!

 

Native To: The Lemon Button Fern is a cultivar of the common sword fern. Who is found in parts of the Americas, Asia, and Australia. It is often found in areas with moist, humid environments, such as the understory of forests.

The Lemon Button Fern is best suited for warm humid regions.

 

With Pets: The Lemon Button Fern is considered non toxic to most animals, Cats included!

 

Lighting: Medium or Bright filtered light is best for this plant. 

If direct sunlight sits upon the leaves for an extended period of time, the leaves can become sun burned.

 

Humidity: 50-70% 

This plant is a fern, so it should not become dried out. It’s best to water it once a week to keep the soil moist enough. In winter, you can reduce watering a little if the weather is cold and wet

 

Temperature: This Fern is happiest in temperatures between 60-80 degrees(F).
