Grows more like a shrub than a tree.
Native to the rainforest of Central & South America.
 
How to keep it alive: Don't let it dry out! It likes to be regularly watered and for the humidity to be between 50%-80%. Keeping it in a Rainforest BioActive enclosure should do the trick. As a houseplant make sure to use a pot with drainage holes and water it when the top 1/2" of the soil is dry. This plant does not like to sit in the direct sun. It likes to be in indirect bright light. (It can see the sun, but the sun's rays don't touch it.) In a terrarium bright lighting is ok.
