The Philodendron Brazil is a versatile plant! this bushy vining plant can be grown in a BioActive enclosure or as a houseplant! This plant isn't too picky about soil depth and requires a minimum of 2" for its roots to spread! This plant can also be grown hydroponically or semi-submerged in a water feature in your enclosure. 

Lighting- This plant does not like direct sunlight if being grown as a houseplant, in a vivarium this plant prefers olow to medium light or bright indirect light, it is recommended to not place the plant under a heat or basking lamp.

Humidity- The Philodendron Brazil is found natively in central and south America, meaning it likes humidity! In a Vivarium we recommend keeping your humidity between 40%-100% to keep your plant happy. As a house plant, the Philodendron Brazil likes to get consistent watering but can tolerate drying out! this is a hardy plant that can take a bit of neglect.:)

Heat- The Philodendron can tolerate heat between 60-85 degrees Fahrenheit, their ideal temperature range would be 65-75 degrees Fahrenheit.

Edible- This plant is a part of the Araceae family, like all members of this family they contain low levels of oxalic acid and sharp cacium oxalate crystals. Ingestion may cause oral irritation, but Philodendrons aren't commonly consumed by reptiles and amphibians.
